Aaliyah Dana Haughton was born January 16,1979 in Brooklyn ,New York., and later raised in Detroit, Michigan. She was a singer , dancer, actress, model. She did it all. Aaliyah was beautiful, talented, and loved by many. The thing that draws me to her , even after death, was her drive to just be herself. In her early years as a performer Aaliyah wore baggy clothes but she always kept it girly and cute.
She stayed true to herself, and because of this she still inspires today fashion and how certain wear their clothes. She did the tomboy look, before the tomboy look was a style. And for that, and great music , we thank you Aaliyah. Forever in our hearts, and my favorite artist.
